Volunteers Sought to Help Domestic Violence Survivors

PATERSON, NJ - The Passaic County Women’s Center is looking for volunteers to help survivors of domestic violence.

The group is looking for volunteers from Paterson who are willing to go through its comprehensive 40-hour Domestic Violence Response Team Training. The training is held in the evenings and will take place in the early spring of 2012.

The center is training volunteer advocates to provide support, advocacy, information and referrals, to survivors of domestic violence at the local police department.

To my understanding, absentee ballots were designed to be used by those who are unable to make it to the polls on Election Day. Such as people in the armed services or those who are away on vacation.
