PATERSON, NJ - Two men from outside the city were shot in Paterson Wednesday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced.

According to the law enforcement officials, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Godwin Avenue and Auburn Street at approximately 10:02 p.m on a report of shots fired. 

Upon arrival officers located evidence of a crime scene and a 23-year-old male Passaic resident who sustained multiple non-fatal gunshot wounds was located a short distance away before being immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. A short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 36-year-old male Prospect Park resident also arrived at the hospital seeking treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.
