PATERSON, NJ- Failing to stop at a stop sign led to a drug related arrest for a West Milford man in Paterson on Saturday.

According to a release issued by Passaic County Sheriff Richard H Berdnik, PCSO Officer Eric Blesing stopped Scott Stalbaum, 30, after observing him pass through the sign on Broadway and East 27th Street. Upon approaching the vehicle Blesing observed several open glassines of suspected heroin.

A further search of the 2014 Nissan Altima resulted in the retrieval of four bundles of suspected heroin stamped “Love” and 19 small clear plastic vials of suspected crack-cocaine concealed in a white sock between the center console and the passenger seat of the vehicle.

Stalbaum was placed under arrest and charged with seven drugs related crimes and issued two motor vehicle summonses. He was later released with a return court date.
