PATERSON, NJ - The woman who authorities said had been held captive for as long as two years by a reputed street gang member denied those allegations, according to a story on nj.com.

The story quoted the woman, Nancy Rodriguez Duran, as saying that her boyfriend padlocked her inside the couple's bedroom to guard against housing authority maintence workers who entered the apartment without permission.

The boyfriend, Michael Mendez, was the target of a State Police drug raid last Thursday that resulted in the allegations that he kept Duran captive.
