PATERSON, NJ - Two robberies on Monday with women as the victims in each are being investigated by Paterson police.

Monday afternoon around 12:30, a woman was walking near the intersection of Smith and Hamilton streets when, according to police, she was approached by two black males. One of the males pushed her against a wall while the other snatched her gold chain from around her neck.

In another incident, a woman reported on Monday evening that earlier that morning, at around 3:30 a.m., she was at a BP gas station on Broadway when three black males and one black female approached her vehicle. Two of the males entered the vehicle and robbed her at gunpoint.

The victims were not reported to be injured in either incident. Paterson police are not saying whether they believe the two cases are connected.
