Letters to the Editor

America? Yes. United? No.

I want to congratulate our President for successfully winning another term. I'm very proud to say that I supported him. I believe the turn-out at the polls this year spoke volumes unto itself.

But let's talk about another subject. I'm noticing allot of racial tension brewing. I can't understand why people act in a manner that is so disrespectful towards each other.

We use the phrase "Believe in America" yet, our behavior is not conducive to our belief. Part of believing in America must include us all working TOGETHER!

It is asinine for us to assume that all of the problems we face as a nation can be resolved or should I say fixed by one person or ethnicity.

President Obama needs the support of BOTH Democrats and Republicans for this nation to continue moving forward. There must be bipartisan cooperation.

The finger-pointing, name-calling and harsh unwarranted criticisms must turn to actions geared towards bringing the USA to a place of unity and harmony.

With the many different ethnic groups that make up this great nation, it must be made clear that one group cannot dominate this nation. We all live here.

I sincerely hope and pray that we all come to realization that God intended for this nation to be multicultural. He intended for this nation to be diverse.

You can't control someone else's thought process. However, you can suggest a different way and you can even guide and or counsel. That's all.

You may not agree with someone's lifestyle, but that doesn't give anyone the right to be mistreated or abused at all. Please understand what I'm saying.
People have a right to live their life, in the end, each individual person will have to stand before God on their own. I hope I'm being clear with this letter.

Instead of bashing the President, let's pray for him. Let's hold up his arms, let's stand by his side. The heart of the king is in God's hands. Let's lift him up before God in prayer day and night.

God bless the United States of America.

Mr. Corey L. Teague
