Dear Editor:

As one of only 12 members on the New Jersey General Assembly’s Budget Committee, I am in the unique position to question New Jersey’s commissioners, those charged with leading our state's various departments, on the specifics of the FY 19 budget that Governor Murphy has proposed. As you may know, this budget must be passed by June 30, 2018.

From education to community development, health to public safety, and everything in between, the spending of New Jersey’s dollars, as ultimately directed by Governor Murphy, impacts every facet of the lives of our state’s residents.

It is with that in mind that I’d like to invite my constituents to share their concerns, questions, or ideas for each of these departments. The schedule of hearings can be found herepdf, and I invite all to email me prior to each of the hearings so I can adequately present their questions.

Sincerely,

Benjie Wimberly

Assemblyman
