PATERSON, NJ - Law enforcement officials are investigating a pair of shootings that sent two Paterson men to the hospital within less than 45 minutes of each other Friday night.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora the first incident took place at approximately 9:26. P.m. in the area of Van Houten Street and Summer Street. The second shooting is said to have occurred at approximately 10:07 p.m. in the area of Hamilton Avenue and East 18th Street.

In both instances the victims, 27 and 28 years old, arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson seeking treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound. The second shooting victim is said to be in critical condition.
