PATERSON, NJ - Ezekiel Suarez emerged from his first match in the USA Boxing  intermediate division national tournament in Salt Lake City tournament quarterfinals victorious. "The fight went as expected," says his father and coach Oscar, who added that Ezekiel boxed well and was technically sound.

He will fight again in the semifinals Thursday at 2:00 pm ET against the top seed in the Intermediate Boys 65 lb bracket, Kamauri Rainey from Cincinnati, Ohio.

The fight will be live-streamed on the USA Boxing Youtube Channel. Ezekiel will fight in bout #12. 

If he wins tomorrow, he will move on to fight in the finals for a chance to become nationally ranked. "This is an amazing part of amateur boxing," says Oscar. "I'm proud of his dedication and willingness to do this sport."
