83-Year-Old Man Mugged in South Paterson

PATERSON, NJ - An 83-year-old man who tried defended himself with his cane was robbed and beaten near the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Atlantic Street on Monday evening, police said.

The victim was walking home at about 5 pm when his attacker grabbed him by the shoulder, threw him against a car and knocked him to the ground, said Lt. Richard Reyes.
