Police Investigating 4th Ward Shooting

PATERSON, NJ - A 22-year-old man from Godwin Avenue was shot twice in the back Sunday night near the corner of Madison and Hamilton avenues, police said.
Police officers responding to a report of gunfire found the victim near the driveway of a home on Madison Avenue and had him transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, where he is currently in critical but stable condition, according to authorities.
Police said they have not yet determined a motive in the shooting. Authorities are asking anyone with any information on the shooting incident to contact Detectives Carlos Charon or Rick Ferreira of the Cease-Fire Unit at (973) 321-1342.
