Police Investigating Arson in 3rd Ward Car Fire

PATERSON, NJ - Authorities are conducting an arson investigation into a fire that destroyed a van in the 3rd Ward on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a grey Ford van apparently was set on fire while parked near the intersection of 8th Avenue and E. 27th Street.

No was inside the van at the time, according to Lt. Richard Reyes.

The nvestigation is being handled by Det. Steve Leischman along with the Paterson Fire Department's Arson squad.
