Suspect Pulls Gun on Robbery Victim

PATERSON, NJ - Sometimes victims run into more than they handle when they try to chase down the guy who robbed them.

That's apparently what happened to a 45-year-old Paterson woman who told police her chain was snatched by a man in his 20s near the corner of Broadway and Carroll Street at about 3:45 pm Wednesday afternoon.

The woman began chasing the man down the street, police said. But then the robber pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot her, said Lt. Richard Reyes. So the woman gave up on the chain and called police.
