Woman Escapes 6th Ward Carjacking

PATERSON, NJ - A 29-year-old woman was parking her car on the 100 block of 23rd Avenue at about 9 pm on Sunday when a man tried to take her vehicle from her, police said.

The victim told police the suspect took her iPhone and jewelry and tried to pull her from the vehicle and take it. But the woman resisted and the man ran away, police said.

The woman identified the suspect as a black man, more than seven-feet tall, with dark skin and in his 40s, police said.
