There’s still time to go forward this Fall and register for classes at Passaic County Community College (PCCC). Whether you are a recent high school graduate or an adult student just starting or returning to college, there’s never been a more critical time or better place than PCCC to prepare for your future.
PCCC offers academic excellence, close-to-home convenience, and strong support for student success, all at one of the most affordable tuition rates in Passaic County. In fact, students who do their first two years of college at PCCC can save up to 60 per cent on a four-year college education!
This year, a PCCC education will be even more affordable thanks to a tuition freeze and new programs that enable students to save on the cost of textbooks and to purchase a laptop at a discounted price.
Some students may even be able to attend PCCC tuition free. Those with an annual household income of $65,000 or less may qualify for a New Jersey Community College Opportunity Grant and cover total tuition costs. Also, financial aid, scholarships, and grant-funded programs can help many students enjoy a more afforable college education.
Safety is a priority at PCCC, especially this year. A customized instructional approach gives students the flexibility to choose the class format they prefer: online or remote (zoom) classes, along with limited opportunities for in-person classes.
“Our top priority remains the well-being of students, faculty, and staff,” says Dr. Steven Rose, president of PCCC. The College has established infection control guidelines that adhere to recommendations by the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) and the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC).
At PCCC students can choose from over 70 degree and certificate programs and attend classes that are smaller and more personalized than at most four-year universities. PCCC offers honors opportunities for high-achieving students as well as tutoring for those who need more support to succeed.
Plus, our popular ESL classes enable students to acquire or improve their English language skills in order to prepare for college-level classes or job advancement.
For students who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree, PCCC offers a smooth transfer process to a four-year college or university. Visiting students who want to stay closer to home this Fall can earn affordable credits that transfer smoothly to their home college. Students who plan to move directly into the job market will appreciate the assistance and support of PCCC’s professionally-staffed Career Services department.
In these challenging times, PCCC is here for students and working harder than ever to deliver services remotely and virtually with in-person options available for academic advising, tutoring, career services, student life, and more. We look forward to welcoming you to PCCC.
Registration is going on now for new, visiting, and returning students.
