Copperhead Caught in Montclair

UPPER MONTCLAIR, NJ - Montclair residents had an unusual discovery Tuesday when they sighted a copperhead snake in a local parking lot.

When Montclair Animal Control Officer Michele Shiber got the call that residents spotted a venomous snake, she sprung into action.

“We never know what adventure awaits us when the phone rings on any given day,” said Shiber.

HACKENSACK/ELMWOOD PARK, NJ -- Investigators announced Monday that there is no indication that the fire that destroyed 31 of the 36 buildings located in the Marcal Paper Company Complex on January 31 was intentionally set.
