The Paterson Fire Department's team led by Battalion Chief Jason Macones were selected as the first place winners in both the judge's category and for the People's Choice Award at the NJFMBA's 10th Annual Cooked and Uncorked Event on Wednesday.

The charity pits FMBA represented firehouses from across the state in three categories: firehouse, gourmet, and dessert, and raises funds for the Saint Barnabas Burn Foundation.

Macones, along with FMBA Local 2 members Firefighters Sean Duffy, Dave Leporini, and Mike Payne, served up their version of chicken and waffles which featured waffles made with prosciutto and smoked ghouda along with sriracha honey butter and maple glazed chicken to more than 500 guests.

Paterson's victory made them four-time champions.
