Vincent T Marchese, a lifelong resident of Paterson, was recently inducted into the New Jersey Drum Corps Hall of Fame.
Vincent has performed over the years with various drum & bugle corps throughout the area including the world famous Hawthorne Caballeros, with whom he won many championships.
Vincent studied drumming with Paterson musician Fred Dittimo who owned a well known music store on Van Houten Street and he performed with the John F. Kennedy Marching band as student, earning his varsity letter in Marching & Concert Band.
He is a founding member of the Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni Corps and currently performs with them in the percussion battery.
Vincent has been active in many organizations in Paterson including serving on the Executive Board and is a life member of Paterson YMCA, and he had been active with the Paterson Fire Department as an Auxiliary Fire Fighter and photographer for over 30 years.
He is currently employed by the Paterson Public Schools as a Teacher of Social Studies at John F. Kennedy Educational Complex.
