Feb. 2: Poetry Reading For Ginsberg Award Winners

PATERSON, NJ - The winners of the 2012 Allen Ginsberg Poetry Awards will read their winning poems at a poetry reading and award ceremony on Sat., Feb. 2 at the Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College.  This free program will take place at 1 pm in the historic Hamilton Club Building of Passaic County Community College, 32 Church Street, corner of Ellison, in downtown Paterson.
The Reading is dedicated to the memory of Mary Ann Mannino (1943 – 2012), and the readers include:  first prize— Dante Di StefanoBinghamton, NY, “Sometimes I Think I’ll Never Leave the Triple Cities;” second prize—Donna Spector, Warwick, NY, “Day of the Dead: Secrets;” third prize—Jim Reese, Yankton, SD, “Black Words on White Paper.”

The Allen Ginsberg Poetry Awards, honoring Allen Ginsberg’s contributions to American Literature, are
given annually to poets, both established and emerging. Poems are judged anonymously with first prize
