As part of our effort to help our neighbors through the coronavirus crisis and to plan for an increase in cases that has the potential to overwhelm local hospitals, Alma Realty has offered over 200,000 square feet of space it owns on Getty Avenue in Paterson to be used for disaster relief should the need arise.
Additionally, we have offered a newly built unoccupied apartment building on Church Street that contains 72 apartments. We have been in contact with Paterson's fire chief and designated personnel to extend this offer and we stand ready to assist in other ways if we can, to support the crucial efforts to contain the spread of the virus and provide for the affected.
We remain committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our tenants and staff, including increasing cleaning in common areas of buildings. Maintenance staff is disinfecting all surfaces, including doorknobs, elevator buttons, and handrails on stairways and we are providing them with protective equipment including masks and gloves. We are available to tenants 24 hours a day via telephone and email and continue to follow social distancing best practices for continued safety and good health.
