BAYONNE, NJ- Emmy-award winning weatherman Joe Cioffi will speak at Weather Night at the Bayonne Public Library on Wednesday. The event, art of the library’s program of educational and cultural events, was arranged by the Bayonne Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will be held in the gallery on the second floor and begin at 7:00 p.m.

Known for his “no frill, no hype, approach to forecasting,” Cioffi, currently the meteorologist for Fios 1 News, has spent 30 years broadcasting in the metropolitan area including with WNBC Channel 4, News 12 Long Island, and New Jersey 101.5 Early in his career, he worked on television stations in Texas and Louisiana.

According to a statement issued about the event Cioffi often visits local libraries to have open forums with communities that express an interest in learning more about our weather, behind-the-scenes information, and what his winter predictions are.
