PATERSON, NJ- Paterson residents seeking employment or who wish to change jobs are advised to polish their resumes and dress to impress in preparation for a job fair to be held on January 10.
The event, co-hosted by The School of Continuing and Professional Education at William Paterson University and the Passaic County One Stop Career Center will take place at William Paterson University located at 1600 Valley Road from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Saying that "employment is empowerment" Mayor Andre Sayegh has made putting residents back to work a cornerstone of his Administration including by appointing Benny Cook as Deputy Mayor of Labor and Workforce Development.
Job seekers will have an opportunity to meet with companies with job openings in several industries including healthcare, transportation, security, material management, retail/sales, manufacturing, and government and should bring at least 20 resumes, organizers say.
In addition to speaking with employers on hand attendees will also benefit from several workshops with topics including “Using Social Media in Your Job Search,” and “Nailing the Job: Resumes for the 21st Century.”
New Jersey Transit’s #744 bus runs through Paterson and directly to William Paterson University.
