PATERSON, NJ - Mayor Andre Sayegh offered a reminder Monday that Paterson’s parks are completely closed until further notice.

The message on Facebook Live came just less than a day after President Donald Trump said that he would be extending social distancing guidelines until at least April 30. Previous statements by Trump that restrictions would be eased by Easter were “premature and irresponsible” Sayegh said.

“Now is not the time to relax restrictions,” Sayegh said, adding that “now is the time to tighten the screws,” and suggesting that if necessary he will implement additional restrictions, including further efforts to limit the operations of liquor stores.
