PATERSON, NJ – While schools may be closed, efforts to educate Paterson Public School students continue. On Sunday, Superintendent Eileen Shafer delivered a message to parents and guardians that new student home instruction packets are now available for download on the district website.

“Simply visit paterson.k12.nj.us and click on the COVID-19 quick link, then click on the tab that says, ‘Downloadable Student Home Instruction Packets,’” Shafer instructed. “You will find a series of links that will lead you to the packets your child needs. The packets are pdfs that can be downloaded and printed out.”

If a smartphone is a family’s only internet access, or if a family does not have a printer, assignments can be copied, and student work can be completed by hand.

Hard copies of packets will also be distributed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Click here to view a list of all 23 distribution sites.

While district schools have been closed since March 17 all Paterson Public Schools have been sanitized, Shafer advised.
