PATERSON, NJ - Paterson Public School children will have two additional locations to pick up breakfast and lunch on Monday thanks to an expanded meal distribution plan announced by Superintendent Eileen Shafer.

“We love you. We care about you. And we want to make sure you’re educated and you’re fed,” Shafer said, announcing that both the Paterson Riverside Veterans Recreation Center at 161 Fifth Avenue and Temple Shalom at 586 Main Street will serve as new meal pickup points.. “We will be coming back to school. We just don’t know when.”

Nearly 11,000 meals were distributed by school administrators and volunteers in the first two days of the closure, officials said, a number that was expected to grow.
