Dear Editor:

As we all know these are unprecedented times that you and I are living thru. As a public safety director that served two administrations, I witnessed homicides, fires and floods. However, I also saw the humanity in the residents of the greatest city in the United States------- the City of Paterson.

That is why I think it's more crucial than ever to vote by mail for the May 12th election for candidates of the city council who can steer our great city in the right direction and UNIFY our city.

I am proudly endorsing Councilman Bill McKoy in the Third Ward, Councilwoman Ruby Cotton in the Fourth Ward and Councilman Al Adel Aziz in the Sixth Ward.

I am supporting Councilman McKoy because of his experience and constant leadership. While we may have had differences in the past, I have come to see Councilman McKoy as a person who gets the job done not only for his ward but for the best interest of this city.

Councilwoman Cotton and I go back many years and I have seen first hand her level of commitment and compassion not only for her constituents but the entire city. She continues to work tirelessly and for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Councilman Al Abdel Aziz is a rising star in this city. He brings forward a new found level of energy and enthusiasm to my ward that hasn't been seen since his predecessor. The Councilman also tends to the needs of his constituents. I have called upon him at almost any hour of the day and he responds without hesitation. He has made quality of life a hallmark of his time in office. That is a basic issue for his constituents as fast as I'm concerned.

There are some fine candidates running in all six wards and I applaud all those who are willing to get into the arena during these difficult times.

In closing I believe these are the best candidates that will provide direction in our great city.

Thank you,

Glenn L. Brown
