PATERSON, NJ - Mayor Andre Sayegh has announced that “out of an abundance of caution” he will be working from home through the weekend after being exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement Sayegh said that he is asymptomatic and that a rapid test he took on Thursday was negative.

Sayegh tested positive for coronavirus in April and ran the city from the basement of his family’s home during a self-imposed quarantine as became the normal practice following the guidance of medical professionals.
