PATERSON, NJ - “We’ve been talking about the Census for almost two years, and now is the time to take it,” Mayor Andre Sayegh announced in a Facebook post Thursday.
The once a decade count that puts $25 trillion of federal funds for key government programs including those for child health, education, housing, and road construction over 10 years at play, is officially underway with all households having the opportunity to respond online by clicking here.
“Nothing matters more,” Sayegh declared in a video. “An accurate count means we could potentially get new schools, new roads, and maybe, a new hospital.”
“So Patersonians, participate in the process,” Sayegh urged. “It’s safe, it’s easy, and it’s important.”
