PATERSON, NJ - A motor vehicle stop by members of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office in the early hours of Saturday led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Paterson man previously identified as the suspect in an Easter Sunday shooting.

According to a statement by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik, and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, Alex Pagan is charged with several crimes including Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault in the afternoon shooting that sent a 22-year-old man to the hospital with a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Pagan, who was pulled over in the area of Straight Street and Fulton Street, the statement says, was previously identified as the shooter in that incident and an arrest warrant was issued for him.
