PATERSON, NJ - A 25-year-old Paterson man faces 20 years in prison following his arrest in connection with a shooting that took place on Monday.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, Rudy Mena is responsible for the shooting that took place in the area of Park Avenue and Carroll Street and sent the 21-year-old victim to the hospital. 

The initial reports indicated the shooting took place in the area of Broadway and East 26th Street, and the victim arrived at the hospital on his own for treatment.

Mena was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and on two counts related to his alleged unlawful possession of a handgun.
