PATERSON, NJ - An arrest has been made in the Nagle Street shooting of a Bellville man that took place during the early hours of Saturday, according to a statement.
As previously reported, the incident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. and sent the victim to Saint Joseph’s University Hospital with a non-fatal gunshot wound.
An investigation by the Paterson Police Department, in conjunction with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, led to the identification of Carlos Colon, 26, Paterson, as the suspect, who was detained and arrested near the crime scene. The charges against Colon, including Attempted Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Handgun carry a punishment of up to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison.
