PATERSON, NJ - A Paterson man faces Attempted Murder charges, and up to 20 years in prison, after his alleged involvement in a Sunday shooting, law enforcement officials have announced.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, an investigation into the incident that took place at approximately 10:27 p.m. led to the arrest of Sultan A. Woodford, 45.
Woodford is accused of shooting a 40-year-old Paterson in the area of Dixon Street. Police found the victim with a non-fatal gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by Paterson Fire Department EMS for treatment. The victim remains in critical but stable condition.
Woodford was found and arrested in a nearby residence, officials said.
