Paterson Man Charged with Heroin Possession

PATERSON, NJ - A 23-year-old Paterson resident has been arrested and charged with heroin possession, police announced on Wednesday.

Ricardo Murdock, a resident of Broadway in the city, was arrested Tuesday night after he was found with 2,312 glassines of heroin.

According to a release from the Paterson Police Department, narcotics detectives conducted a drug investigation in the area of 324 Broadway after receiving numerous complaints from area residents about drug activity and people congregating in the area. Additional charged against Murdock include intent to distribute, intent to distribute same within 1,000 of a school (PS No. 6), intent to distribute same within 500 feet of Barbour Park, resisting arrest by flight and destruction of evidence.

Paterson police also confiscated $1,144 from Murdock.
