PATERSON, NJ - Paterson resident Jesus Herrera, 64, will remain behind bars and faces up to 10 years in prison after being found guilty of two charges related to the 2017 road death of Luis Arrango.

During the trial that started on January 8, the jury heard that on November 11, 2017, Herrera was driving his 1997 GMC Sierra Truck when he struck the victim who was crossing the street in front of 910 Main Street.

Herrera did not stop after the collision but returned to the scene after he was chased down by a witness. Arango, 48 at the time, died as a result of his injuries.
