PATERSON, NJ- Two men living in the US illegally were arrested for their roles in a major drugs operation that was brought to an end on Friday by members of the Paterson Police Department Narcotics Division.

According to a report by Police Director Jerry Speziale, the investigation began earlier this month when they received a report of possible illegal drug transactions taking place at 134 North 10th Street.

When police raided the residence they arrested Aneuriz Morel and Jose Castillo, both 37, and recovered 3,133 glassines of heroin, 992 ecstacy pills, three additional bag of heroin, and one bag of cocaine. A total of $1,747 in cash was also confiscated.

Both men were face various charges related to their possession of and intent to distribute the narcotics, and, according to Spezial, the Department of Homeland Security was notified of their arrests.

A third man, Marco Cintron, 49, was also arrested and charged with possession of 50 glassines of heroin.

“The narcotics division will continue to combat the illegal drugs in our city,” Speziale said.
