On Friday, 1/6/2017, at approximately 12:15 P.M., Paterson Police patrol units were dispatched to 87 Auburn Street on a report of a shooting.

On Arrival, officers located a male victim in a first floor apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.  As a result of an investigation conducted by Detective Michael Quinones and Prosecutor’s Detective Ricardo Ferreira of the Ceasefire Unit, Jireed Bragg was identified as the alleged actor in this incident.

Bragg was charged in January, and multiple attempts were made to locate him, with negative results. Detectives were notified on Friday that Bragg had been located by bail recovery agents in the State of Florida, and he was delivered to the Passaic County Jail late Friday evening. Bragg is currently being detained at the Passaic County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
