TRENTON, NJ - While offering indications that the curve is being flattened in New Jersey’s fight against COVID-19, Governor Phil Murphy announced his signing of a new Executive Order to further combat the public health crisis.
The Order, he said at a Saturday press briefing, will require New Jersey Transit and all private carriers to cut their capacity to a 50% maximum and to provide their drivers with gloves and face coverings. Set to go into effect Monday at 8:00 p.m., Murphy added, passengers will also be required to wear face coverings.
Customers entering a restaurant to pick up food, as well as the employees inside, will also have to begin wearing masks as a result of the Order.
