PATERSON, NJ - An afternoon shooting left a 29-year-old Paterson man with multiple gunshot wounds Friday.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, the incident took place in the area of 10th Avenue and East 26th Street at approximately 1:27 p.m. 

Upon arrival responding officers discovered a potential crime scene and the victim who was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Less than 24 hours before the shooting activists, parents, clergy, and more gathered just blocks away to call for an end to Paterson’s street violence.
