PATERSON, NJ - A 31-year-old Belleville man was shot early Saturday, according to law enforcement.

In a statement Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announced members of the Paterson Police Department were called to the area of Nagle Street at approximately 1:20 a.m. on a report of a shooting. 

Upon arrival police located evidence of a crime scene and the victim who had suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by Paterson Fire Department EMS for treatment.
