PATERSON, NJ - An investigation has been launched into a Tuesday incident which left a 31-year-old Belleville man with a non-fatal gunshot wounds, law enforcement officials have announced.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Pearl and Carroll Street on a call of shots fired at approximately 6:28 p.m. 

Upon arrival on the scene police located evidence of a crime scene, but no victim. A short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 31-year-old male Belleville resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
