PATERSON, NJ - An investigation into suspected drugs distribution at 301 Van Houten Street led to five arrests on Monday. Two handguns, ammunition, and an assortment of illegal narcotics were also recovered, according to Paterson Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale.

According to a statement, the investigation was launched after detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division received numerous citizen complaints regarding drug distribution occurring from within the location. 

During the course of their investigation, the report said, surveillance detectives identified two suspected dealers, Anthony Davis and Tyquawon Davis who appeared to engage in multiple hand-to-hand transactions which resulted in the arrests of Fernando Hernandez, Christopher Durfee, and Victor Quintero.

A subsequent search of the home’s first floor, led the recovery of the two guns, a .45 caliber and 9mm, and a total of 29 unspent rounds. Also found during the raid were 161 glassines of heroin, 175 vials of crack cocaine, 300 grams of marijuana, and 25 Xanax tablets.
