PATERSON, NJ - A months long investigation into the alleged distribution of marijuana out of a local barbershop led to three arrests and the seizure of more than 10 pounds of marijuana, recovery of over $10,000 in cash, and confiscation of a handgun with ammunition.

According to a statement by Paterson Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale, the investigation was launched into Jackson Cancel, aka “King Smooth”, whom he referred to as “a high ranking member” of the Almighty Latin King Nation (ALKN) street gang.

The investigation, the report said, offered evidence that Cancel was distributing marijuana out of his Smooth Kreationz barbershop, 155 Ellison Street.
