PATERSON, NJ - A nine-month investigation by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crime Against Children Task Force culminated in the arrest of Paterson man on various charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.

According to Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik, the efforts Sheriff’s investigators led to the identification of Stephen Lugo, 42, as the person responsible for uploading several image files of child sexual abuse to the “cloud.” 

On Thursday detectives executed a search warrant inside a car garage on Albion Avenue where Lugo was known to reside. The search led to the seizure of several electronic devices that will be forensically examined for additional evidence related to the investigation.\

In addition to the child pornography charges Lugo, was transferred to Passaic County Jail, was also charged with resisting arrest.
