PATERSON, NJ - A 26-year-old Paterson man suffered non-fatal gunshot wounds in the early hours of Saturday, according to law enforcement officials.
In a statement Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, and Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said that members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Hamilton Avenue at approximately 2:45 a.m. on a report of a shooting.
A short time later, the report states, members of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department located the victim in the rear of a motor vehicle. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A potential crime scene was located in the area of Summer Street and the investigation remains active.
