PATERSON, NJ - A 42-year-old Paterson is dead after being shot at approximately 10:45 p.m. Saturday.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, police officers on patrol responded to the area of 70 Rosa Parks Boulevard after hearing gunshots. 

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, identified as James Timmons, lying in the street with apparent gunshot wounds. Timmons was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 11:11 p.m.
