PATERSON, NJ - The Paterson Police Department’s Narcotics Unit and ABC Division conducted two operations at “magnets for crime and disorder” on Friday, leading to a total of eight arrests, Paterson Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale announced.

In the first operation, Speziale reported, the Cabaret Lounge, 50 Cianci Street, where seven “dancers” were arrested in March, again received a visit from law enforcement. Victor Morales, 67, Hawthorne, and Yaniris Cruz, 40, Bronx, NY, were both arrested and charged with prositution related crimes.

Police later launched an investigation into an after hours lounge located on the second floor of a building at 183-195 Railroad Avenue. Also the site of numerous past complaints, including vehicles parked in a dangerous manner, fights, loud music, and large crowds congregating, police this time issued 12 city ordinance violations, towed four vehicles, and confiscated 20 hookah pipes, 138 bottles of liquor, and $1,048 in cash.

Arrested at the location and charged with various crimes including possession of a weapon, smoking indoors, and maintaining a nuisance were:

Bolivar Abreu, 32, Paterson

Elias Cordero, 36, Garfield   

Maria Correa, 41, Haledon  

Anthony Sosa-Felix, 33, Paterson
