PATERSON, NJ - An investigation has been launched into an early morning shooting  Thursday. 

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 21st and Madison Avenue at approximately 3:26 a.m. in response to shots fired. 

Upon arrival police located a 28-year-old Paterson man with a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to St Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by Paterson Fire Department EMS for treatment.
