PATERSON, NJ - Paterson police will “continue to combat the scourge of drugs,” to make the city safer, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said in a Friday statement announcing seven arrests.

Even if that means “one gun and one bag at a time,” he added. According to Speziale, an investigation into alleged drug sales in the area of 17th Ave and East 28th Street was launched based on the concerns of nearby residents.

Arrested for the possession of heroin were Patrick Gallagher, 29, Haworth; David Sahagian, 25, Lodi; and Richard Windt, 55, Clifton.
