PATERSON, NJ - A second Sunday shooting sent a 61-year-old Paterson man to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, according to authorities.

In a statement Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announced that the incident took place at approximately 9:17 p.m. in the area of Redwood Avenue. 

As previously reported, a 34-year-old man sought treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound, an investigation revealing he was struck in the area of 12th Avenue and East 24th Street during the overnight hours.

This was the third violent incident of the weekend with two men being shot, one fatally, early Friday evening near Eastside High School.
