PATERSON, NJ - “Day and night there will be strict enforcement,” Paterson Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said following a Saturday narcotics operation that led to three arrests.

In a report Speziale announced that Jamar Lockhart, aka Mumbles, 41, was arrested in the area of Godwin Avenue and Rosa Parks Blvd. after police allegedly found him in possession of 77 glassines of heroin and 22 baggies of crack cocaine.  

Also arrested Saturday were Robert Cochrane, 48, who is said to have been buying two baggies of crack cocaine from Ronald Hammond near Rosa Parks High School. Hammond was also found to be in possession of $270 which was seized as suspected drug proceeds.

“In our effort to rid and dismantle illegal drug operations the department will focus on them seven days a week,” Speziale said.
